Caller: Breast and prostate cancer charity

Call came up as being from "Pakenham, Victoria". Thinking it was someone I know from the area, I answered the call. The caller proceeded to talk through a script about the charity, and describe the levels of giving, then asked how much I'd like to give today. After declining (as I give to a number of other charities), the caller continued with more of the script (obviously targeting people who initially decline to donate), then asked a second time how much I'd like to give. After declining the second time, the script continued, followed by a third request. At that time, I thanked the caller, said goodbye and hung up. The caller was pleasant, but being asked three times was too much for me!

Received a call the previous evening from a similar number - (03) 5922 4322 - and no message was left. Was likely the same organisation.

Did not leave a message - similar number ending in 26 rang the other day as well. My message says not to call if you are a chrity, scammer or survey. I do not answer any calls from numbers I do not know and these two numbers are now blocked as they do not leave a message.

Supposedly from the ''breast and prostate cancer society'' but didn't ask for a call back, didn't know our names etc. Dodgy.

Caller: Charity Survey

Calling on behalf of "Prostate and Breast Cancer Foundation (which is a registered charity with ABN).

This company goes by My Charity Choice, Charity Surveys and Charity Prime. They use a number of phone numbers from different states and area code in an attempt to avoid call blocking - waste of time as all out of area calls are blocked.

They have been instructed to remove our number from their database(s) via email but obviously disregard these instructions.

Will be reported to Do Not Call Register even if they can call on "behalf" of charities.

This organization is part of the DataGen Facilities group of overseas companies. SCAMMERS

I have now had ten phone calls from this number or other numbers very close to it. No message is ever left, they are all from Packenham, Victoria and I refuse to answer them. I’m sure this is a scam.

Scam did not leave a message

My phone flagged the call as SPAM so I've now blocked the number

Hung up as soon as answer machine picked up the call.
