Rang at 6.20pm but I don’t know the number. Says Shepparton, vic. Don’t know anyone there so will block

Blocked number assumed scam call

Answered as it was a supposed local call. Some lady with a strong foreign accent on about the solar panel rebate. Politely told her I was not interested and she was still jabbering away as I hung up.

Phone provider picked it up as 'Suspected Scam' and blocked.

Silent scam call! This phone number rang a few rings. I answered but they hung up on me. They didn’t leave a message. It’s the usual silent pause of 5 seconds whilst the line is open, then I hear “click” and they’ve hung up on me!! The call shows on display as “Australia”. I only know Melb numbers, thus anytime I see “Australia” my instinct tells me it’s a Scam.
WHY can’t TELSTRA do a damn thing about these scams? Telstra = Multi-Billion dollar company. Surely they’ve got the cash & equip to BLOCK these daily scams from our mobiles & landlines??

Didn't answer it. Also had call from (03) 5292 3311, solar panels. I enter crossword puzzle competitions & within 10 days start to receive spam calls, could there be a connection ?

Location says Shepparton, dont know who, probably scam
