Caller: scam

indian, male, claiming to be from technical support regarding a problem with my computer. nearly all these calls are coming from numbers with (03) prefix.

Solar panel scam.

I just received a call from this number, for the first time. However, I did not answer, as my caller I.D. showed, and told me, a suspicious number. The trouble with these so-and-so's is, they will use this number for a few days, then they change the number. Will keep using 035..... in this case, but change the following numbers. So, really, there is no point in blocking a particular number, as they will always get round that. Get caller I.D. on your phone. My phone actually uses a recorded female voice which tells me who the caller is. If it is a contact, they will say the name "Call from Mary", or Bob or whoever. If it is not from a contact, she says "Call from (03) 5718 7863", and tells the actual number. This is great, as I just vet all my calls. I don't even have to get up from my lounge chair to see who is calling. If it is a friend, THEN I answer it. My suggestion to you all - GET CALLER I.D. It is great!!

they were quite some automated computer voice came on but I was the only one at this conference.

i don't answer, keeps calling but no message left

Claimed to be from Telstra. When asked for location stated Melbourne. When asked for specific address as required under the industry regulation, he hung up.

I always use reverse number lookup after I reject the call from a number I don't know.
So glad I do because then I just block the mongrels
