allegedly from Australian Taxation Office advising that an arrest warrant will be issued unless I call their number. Scam!!

Apparently Telstra saying someone was buying a phone on my account and they wanted to verify my details.

Telstra saying a new phone was being added to my account and asking for my details to cancel it as it was a potential fraud

Saying they were from Telstra and someone had ordered a phone from my account, wanted me to verify the account and I said, YOU rang ME you should know it's my account!

Got a phone call from this number, someone from Telstra claimed that an order has been placed that is suspicious, so they want to give me a call and confirm. Keep asking for my Date of Birth. When asked for any reference number, case number or order number, all she can give me is a reference number for herself SH6541. Ask for an email address from Telstra so I can contact, she said "noreply @ telstra.com.au", at this point, it's quite clear that this is just scam.

Same - said an Iphone had been ordered on my account but had different delivery address which promoted them to question whether it was fraudulent. Wanted details to confirm my account in order to cancel order,

Recorded message saying that a law suit has been filed in your name and to call number immediately you received this message

Didn't bother calling back thanks to all the warnings from this site.

Claimed they were from Telstra, said there was suspicious activity on my account, an iPhone 12 was ordered. Asked for my date of birth to be able to cancel the order.

Allegedly Telstra calling about my account. Wanted me to confirm my details. She kept talking over me to ask details when i was refusing. Hung up when i questioned her instead of giving her anything.

Supposedly from Telstra "case management" - someone had ordered an iPhone 12 on my account but wanted it sent to a different address so did I want to cancel it. Yeah, I hung up.

Indian woman (with lots of call centre background noise) said she was from Telstra. I told her I don't have any accounts with Telstra. She apologised for the inconvenience and hung up. Looking at all the recent posts here it is now obvious they are mining data to steal your identity. These scammers should have the phone line shut down by regulators.

Said from Telstra and someone had placed an order for a new $1,080 phone and I would need to supply her with my medicare number my license number and my passport details to prove I am who I am as that was the only way to cancel the order. Couldn’t tell me how she knew it was actually me she was calling or how she got my number seeing I don’t actual use Telstra for my phone company. Got a call a few weeks back from the same telling me they were going to cut off my broadband if I did pay the outstanding bill straight away, funny you know my broadband is still working!

Called the number back and the person that answered the phone sounded like they were at the dog track, 'lots of talking and a dog barking'.

I didn't answer it. Allegedly from Newtown, Victoria.

Telstra apparently LOL saying a purchase for extra data had been made, & they just need my date of birth to cancel it otherwise I'd be charged...

Scam call. Indian women said she was from Telstra accounts. I needed I gave her my DOB as confirmation, so I would not be charged, on my Telstra account for an iPhone purchase that did I did not make.

A woman claimed to be from Telstra and asked me if I'd like to proceed with some order which was false. They hung up then called back again. A young woman just laughed down the phone. Number now blocked.
