Caller: Adam Wilson Rang from Telstra telling us we had fluctuating internet, gave his id number. We requested phone number said we would ring back but had no intention to do so as we are not with Telstra. Obviously a scam.

Caller: Adam Wilson......whatever :( Indian accent. He knew I was suspicious and gave me a Telstra ID number TSL20094. He initially told me my internet connection was fluctuating and wanted me to go to my google account and he would guide me as to what to do. He said my information could be 'public' when it should be private. I told him I would ring Telstra and check on him first as I wanted to make sure this wasn't a scam. He said ok and then he told me to call him back. I had initially hung up on him and he called me again on a different mobile number. These are the 2 numbers +6427268476 and 0467 929 079 He said he was calling from Telstra in Melbourne.

Male with Indian accent claiming to be Adam Wilson from Telstra calling from the Melbourne office, saying I had issues with my internet. Didn't believe him. He also has a fake linkedin profile! Also calls from this number (08)8504.9036. If in doubt, always ask for the number to call back on, and make sure you cross check the number! scammers@

Caller: Sean Martin (he said) The caller with an Indian accent tried to addressed himself as from Telstra. I was suspicious, but he provided a "Telstra" ID (TID 86052) and a return phone number. I went along with this after telling him I was suspicious, and after reviewing several logs in the computer which "appeared" to show someone had been using my internet ID he stated that the Telstra Internet department would need to check who had been accessing my system. I was asked to download a program called Team(something) and when he asked for the ID and password from this program I realised that this was a sophisticated con which would give whoever it was access to my computer. I told him so and terminated the call. I am quite experienced with computer technology and was suspicious all through the call, but this is a very sophisticated scam with answers to all the usual questions and objections.

Someone from a call centre who said I had an open line that was being used for fraud they said they were working for telstra but I am not a telstra customer only optus he convinced me that optus & telstra used the same lines & put a program in my computer, but I have since deleted although they have tried to ring several times since I luckily have not answered,I have since found that neither telstra or optus do not ring customers direct.

VERY DANGEROUS - DO NOT ANSWER!! Supposedly Telstra Calling regarding internet security. Indian sounding accent. Gave fake Telstra ID, as Telstra do not phone their customers on this basis! Wanted access to computer, wanted to know all devices utilising the internet service and wanted bank details that they were supposedly going to deposit funds into our account and we were supposed to withdraw the funds and then deposit them again - in so doing it would help them catch the scammers! According to the caller, banks don't look after their own security anymore!!

Caller: Suzanne Wilson (supposedly Telstra She was trying to convince me that there was a fault with my internet. I asked for a phone number so that I could call them back as I was sceptical...when I called back, it was answered by a male person who got quite agitated when I told him that I would contact Telstra if my internet wasn’t satisfactory.
