Caller: Recorded message - tax scam

The recorded message said something about an audit and then threatened arrest if I didn't call back. An obvious but odious scam.

I called the number. The man said he was an investigation officer with the Australian Taxation Office Investigation Division. I asked him his name and he hung up.

i was just told that i got to call them because i have a legal file against me so i put it on speaker and walked out to my dad now trying to see who it is and got this page.

Caller: American accent voice message with poor grammar

Claimed to have multiple lawsuits against me. Super dodgy.

Called and said i owed money i told them he had called a member of the police and i that i was able to trace the call after 60 seconds, he (indian accent) was being a real smart mouth, he obviously got scared and hung up on me at 58 seconds!

Called and left message at 4 pm said to call his department on the above no immediately if they did not hear from me a warrant for my arrest would be issued.

Said hello 3 times after answering even though I wasn’t going to answer at first and got no reponse

Called the number back to a guy telling me he was calling from his office which had 4 walls and a roof wouldn’t give details said he was the ato and I was being audited then laughed I just hung up such a scam

Same as above, it is a recorded message telling me I am part of a tax audit. Hung up before the end of the message. Scam

Recorded message threatened issuing arrest warrant if I don't call back. Utter nonsense and people behind these sort of scams should be the one being arrested.

Scam guys, phone line was bad so suspect it was linking to offshore number.

Message did not have any content

Definitely a scam. Automated voice saying they are from the ATO and that if you don't call back to pay an outstanding bill an arrest warrant will be issued. Please dont call them back or allow them to get your information, just hang up and block the number

Just had the same message. Said if i didnt call back once i had accessed this voicemail, a warrant for my arrest would be issued
