Spam call about free electricity

I said “Ashburton police station” and they hung up.

Caller: Someone saying they were with the state government

Offering free electric changeover of something?? Very heavy Indian accent and could hardly understand.

Caller: From Vic State Government (claimed)

Indian man with blatant aussie name (Keith Piper) offering cheaper electricity rates, power saving home lighting, free reverse cycle heating/cooling and Government subsidised solar panels for my roof. He wanted to know my name and address. I'll bet his nose was growing during our conversation.

Didn't pick up - but given comments on this page the number is now blocked!

I said 'I been waiting in the hall, waiting on your call, people think I'm...crazy'....but they hung up after that!? 😜

Phone indicated spam caller so I didn't pick up. No message. I called back out of curiosity (thinking about that proverbial cat) and found that the spoofed number will not accept incoming calls.

I've got a scam Vic caller (03) 5292 3313 but not answered. It's say " This number is "DISCONNECTED" when I callback. If a number was disconnected why can they still call in???

Thick Indian accent, guy named Steve asking if I have received my "free" energy reader or something (could barely understand him) I told him in not interested and hung up.
