phoned twice....I answered...no one there

The second ‘unknown’ call that shows ‘Newtown’ which is a suburb of Geelong. Know no one there.
The other call a few days ago was from a different number and when I rang that back it said it was disconnected (I’ve blocked that one).
A coincidence that two come from the same area? I don’t think so. Must be a scam. Using numbers routed through that area.

Telecom marketing. Heavy Indian accent. Seems like the number is spoofed (notice how when you pick up and no one answered right the way, only after you say a few hellos, and then you hear a tone sounds seemingly like the tone of you picking up a call with Skype. And then they will start talking). The Indian woman on the phone seemed like to read from a pre written script.

All signs point toward a filthy Indian scammer. May they all die and rot in hell.

My mobile automatically flagged this number as a spam call.

26/07/22 6pm missed call, called back, disconnected.

some lady tried to convince me to upgrade my modem for faster NBN (5G network).
if the call is not from your current internet provider - don't agree to anything. she was not from my internet provider.
she said then said she was from an internet cost comparison company
BLOCK THE NUMBER - DEFINITELY A SCAM

Called me about my home internet & NBN service. No they didn't. Just plain old scammers

It’s a scam! Number blocked!

Answered, then they hung up

Called 5 times have blocked them

Called twice in ten mins, first time I answered as know people in Newtown no response so hung up. Second time let ring out but no message left

I just got the same thing no one there called back and just engaged signal

Repeat spam callers tracked back to the above company!

Non responsive caller, Number now BLOCKED

Call from Geelong number.
Answered and it took a moment for someone to speak.
Man with a heavy Indian accent spoke.
I hung up and blocked the number.
SCAM ! 🤬

Received 2 calls on my mobile showing this number.
Tried returning the call via a work landline-told by Telstra the number is not connected.

(Now)Blocked.
