Caller: PayPal Scammers This number came up on my phone and when I answered it a recorded message was played, claiming that I had been debited an amount of $299.99. From my work phone I called the number, to have a man with a sub-continent sounding accent identify himself as "John from PayPal". I then terminated the call.

Left a message saying $299.99 will be debited from my account and to press 1 to cancel or claim refund.
