Recorded voice said was from Pay Pal and needed to press 1 or 2 to approve or cancel $799 transaction. Ignored instructions and checked PayPal account and no transaction of that magnitude was pending.

Caller: Someone claiming be telstra

A tricky one, I asked if they had a number to call them back on to verify the call, they said I can call back on a standard telstra number which can be enough to trick people into continuing the conversation. I know it was a scam because they said they were giving me discount for being ahead on my payments, I'm not ahead on my payments.

Caller: I don’t know

Female with Indian accent claiming she was from NBN ringing me about my internet . She didn’t give her name or ask mine. I asked her several times what about my internet , but she kept repeating her original statement. Then she started to say that over the last few days my internet speed was……..luckily my landline phone receiver is faulty so I said that I couldn’t hear anything and hung up.

Seems like a scam. Guy called “Adam”. Provided an employee ID and all these details. The emails he sent looked legit. But he tried to let me sign into my email. Claimed hes from Telstra with a 50% discount. Somehow had my details. Called up Telstra after to secure details.

Scammer said the call was about my internet connection with the NBN. I told them my connection is fibre to the building, and hung up. Took time for somebody to speak and could hear a call centre in the background.

I answered for a change, don’t normally do that. Told by a woman with a thick Asian or Indian accent she was calling from Telstra. Told her I’m not with Telstra, she then tells me I am. No, I, not and I also told her she has an audacity in trying to scam me and others. She abused me in her own language and hung up. I have since blocked this number that says it was from Bakery Hill…..calling bs on that !
