Same automated message from ATO.

Just received 'an automated' message from the ATO - from this number - claiming I am being investigated for tax fraud..... Clear scam

Called my mobile, I didn't answer as I don't answer unknown calls anymore. So tired of scammers getting my number. As expected, they didn't leave a message.

This person is a rude scammer who claims to be from the tax office. Report them!

Just got the same message, they are so rude on the phone. The ATO would never operate like that.

Told me that tax fraud had been committed and to call them back on this dodgy number. called it from a private number line and said it was busy. I guess this fake ato cant afford a second line :).

Fake - Claimed taxation court case. For anyone wondering still after reading this forum; The answer is no, this is not the process that would happen in such a situation.

A supposed message from the TO about a lawsuit for tax evasion, nothing but a scam

Can confirm what has been stated above. Persistent calls that I haven't picked up, leaving urgent voice message claiming to be ATO and it is in regards to a tax fraud lawsuit against me. Clearly not the ATO - fraud.

they called twice today. Hung up both times. Sounds like a scam. Sad that some people will fall for this.
