Called me twice within 1 hr. They ring for a few seconds and hang up

Block this number, scam/phishing.

Comes up on phone from Wingeel, Victoria. Never answered it as I never answer unfamiliar numbers, usually all scam phone calls.

Called three times in one hour no message no voice mail when I call hung up?

Caller: Someone from an "energy company"

had a lot of my details, except the part where I don't actually have an energy account. refused to disclose where they collected my information, hung up on me after I was not interested in speaking beyond where did you get my number.

Not long after blocking private numbers I received a call from this number.
I deduced it was a previous pest that was calling from a private number and after getting blocked went to plan B. I dont answer private numbers.
Little did the persistent pest realise that I could still smell his trickery and they are now blocked.
Nice try but these amature attempts to break through my paranoia will always fail.

I dont answer private numbers or numbers that I am unfamiliar with.
If call is legitimate then they should send a sms with some kind of identification and reason for attempting call and I can investigate and decide if I will contact them.
Turn voice mail OFF.
Do not confirm identfy of yourself to any callers.
It does not matter if they know your name and claim to represent a company you may be associated with.
Do not provied any details such as date of birth, address, phone etc.

Follow these steps and you will be master of your world.

called 5 times 3 from mobile 0431 748 377 11:12am land line (03) 4214 2015 then 12:05pm from mobile - then 12:12pm from land line then 12:47 and 12:48 from landline

Rude arrogant man calling from India. Called 4 times on my husbands number. Knew my name etc. Kept pushing & very demanding. When told not to call again, he said he would be calling again & called 3 times at which stage I just kept hanging up

Same experience at 7:15 pm today. Blocked them before they called back.

Caller info displays as Wingeel Victoria. I answered the 3rd call, Asian voice asked if I was Mrs ...... Not my name so hung up.

Seems like a random caller who called at 7:30pm at night
