Had guy with Indianaccent saying his name was firstly Tony Mcmiller saying he was a tax investigater if I didn't pay what asked the police were coming in 30 minutes with a warrant then pressing buttons on phone to think we were getting transferred to a tax head investigater who's name was Jason O'conner also with the same Indian Accent then after getting into a argument said he was sending Police in 30 minutes with a warrant , we just hung up , this is a joke and should be reported to the Police .

I received the same message. I reported it to the ATO. They probably can't do much about it. I feel sorry for the people who fall into the trap.

Had a call, called them back. Was on the phone with them for an hour as they demanded money for ATO fraud, if I didn't make a certain payment, the police will arrest me as I have a warrant. I then called the ATO scam department and informed them of this number and person who called.

I work in an accounting practice, my elderly client rang very concerned as she received the same call. I rang the number and had some fun by asking him various questions about the ATO - Which of course he couldn't answer and then hung up!!! Total scam

I received the same message from same number just now ( man with Indian accent ) and if I don't call back they will send the police around my mailing address. This is the third message I got in the last 2 weeks from different numbers.

I received the same nature of call today. I didnt answer it but left a message. I know that ATO usually send a letter when there are discrepancy with previous tax return so I know that this is a scam. Beware do not disclose your details

A female with Indian accent left a message on my phone stating that she is from the ATO. I didn't understand her name.The nature and purpose of the call is that ATO have received a legal lawsuit against my name. Last night I arrived home to find three messages on the house phone from the mysterious Indian woman from the ATO threatening me with arrest if I ignored her calls. She finished by wishing me a nice day. Ha!

I was contacted tonight and Jennifer was so convincing I confirmed my tax file number. She's been reported to the police. She escalated my call to her supervisor placed me on hold requested I agree and understood what she was saying, after 30 minutes things didn't add up and I searched their details. BEWARE this was incredibly difficult to detect and they are getting better at it

They call twice today, left same messages. I rang back, these people are agressive and rude! They wanted from me $ 9 000 today! Or they begin legal action! Isnt is this illegal? We should report them and begin legal action against them!

A male person with an Asian accent advised me to ring urgently re problems I had with the tax department

I work in a Dr's clinic and received exactly the same message. A woman with an Indian accent named Jennifer Smith, claiming to be from the ATO calling about a serious Tax Fraud matter and if I do not return her call on 03 41 000116 she would send the police around to arrest me at the postal address she has on file.

Today I received 2 pre-recorded voicemails from a lady (Indian accent) informing me to call her back ASAP regarding a tax fraud, where police will come knocking at my door if I do not respond. Ignore. Goodbye.

Received this call today. An Indian sounding male stating that he was from the ATO. Didn't give him a chance to say much more as I knew it was not legit.

A male with an Indian accent calling himself Charingworth Smith left a message stating he was from the ATO saying there was a warrant out against you for tax fraud and if you required your file number immediate action is require otherwise the federal police will come around and arrest "you" at your mailing address.
