Scammer - warns you will be arrested for tax evasion.

This number is used by a tax cold call scammer in Victoria, Australia. Do not return the call, they are scams designed to trick people into sending money and personal information to criminals. If you call back on the number left by the scammers, you will be told that you must immediately send money via a wire service such as Western Union to cover a supposed tax debt and avoid immanent arrest. The scammers may also ask you to provide a large amount of your personal and financial information, which they may later use to steal your identity

The caller doesn't even have a proper Australian accent. More like a person from Africa, struggling to speak proper English with a laughable British accent.

Definitely a scam. Say their from tax dept, and offer to help you out.
Ask you to bank money into different bank a/c's.
Caller calls himself John, but gives various Bank details and names.

It threatens me with prosecution.

Claim to be from ATO with a warrant for arrest to be issued. Had a similar call about 2 years ago. Is it for real or is it as I'm think, spam?

Is this the old taxation scam resurfacing that was around 2 years ago?
