The automated message claimed to be from PayPal and said that a certain amount of money would be deducted from my account and if the transaction was not genuine or I would like to talk to someone from PayPal, I should press a certain number to proceed.

Claiming that there has been unauthorised transactions on your account and you need to sort it out by speaking to one of their consultants

The number came up as a Spam call and they left no message.

They claimed they were from the department of immigration completely false

They stated its an epidemic emergency notice trying to target international students. SCAM

in a Chinese voice recording . Then I hung up.

Message came up as Potential Fraud

Recorded. Message said that money was to be taken from my account and I should press 1 to decline or 2 to authorise. Either way, it sou ded like a scam.

Caller: I don't know

This number left a V/M with an automated voice saying "Press 1 for English and 2 for Chinese". V/M deleted and number blocked. Originating from Ouyen, VIC.
