Missed call from this number today...

I suspect these cold calling companies for charities- who get a cut; are actually ripping the charities off, as well as the donors.
The only reason they could be making calls and then hanging up without actually getting a donation or talking to a possible donor-is; they get paid per call-not donation percentage.
Therefore ;the more calls they can make and log in but not waste time talking to potential donors; who they may not even get a donation from in the end-means the company can claim for each call made, from the charity they are supposed to be collecting for.
The more calls they log in , in a certain time-the more money they make for the company- not the charity they are charging for thier service.
If you want to donate to a charity-do it direct and cut out these sharks.

2 evolve makes follow up calls on behalf of charities... Ive recently changed banks so they o longer have payments coming out. Even though I asks them to stop payments.

They never stop ringing me even if I didn't answer their calls. Just wish they would stop. I don't even know where they got my number. Very annoying:(

Spammers. Have rung me twice in a week, and my partner. How the heck do they find your unlisted number, and have the gall to call back repeatedly if you don't answet??

Have called me 4 times over the past two days. The calls now go straight to voicemail from the range of numbers they call from. Last night they called at 7.30pm!! I have asked to be taken off their list to no avail.

It was UNHCR for me. A legitimate phone call confirming my donation details.
Obviously a call-centre handling the donation/sponsorship side for charities (cheaper than them running these things themselves).

I have had this number calling me weekly for at least 6 months. I have no idea how to make them stop, so i just don't answer. They only ring for about 2 rings, so I think Kay's theory above is correct.

I recieved calls from them, new where I lived. Said they were from the Cancer Council in which I have previously donated to so thought it OK. They deducted a couple of hundred from our account stating RPA Hospitsal Sydney. Cards cancelled immediatley. Contacted their head office now waiting for a reply..... f*ckers
