I got a call from this number and it's the same as every one else when you ring back it's disconnected I'm going to get to the bottom of this and shut them down my number is private there is going to be hell to pay for this for them

I got this call last night, attempted to call back, could not connect, this is likely a call centre or a spam number

I've a stack of missed calls from this number. It only rings once or twice before hanging up so you have no time to answer. Whoever it is, wants you to call them.

I reckon its from optus who got a call center in phil..offering plans,new mobile phones.etc. got offered few months ago

Just got a call from this number on my mobile (never given my number to anyone except family) which hung up when I answered. When I rang back it said the number was disconnected. If this is a debt collection agency, they don't seem to want their money back. And anyway, I owe nothing to anyone. Nathaniel, I doubt your advice that credit ratings will be affected if we don't answer, especially when they are received by people like me who have zero/zilch debt. This call has nothing to do with me, but I'd like to know who they are.

Just called me now. She said she was calling from Optus. She asked me to confirm my date of birth. she was talking about new plan that cheaper, more suitable and blah blah. After all, I just said I don't want to change anything and I'm happy with my current plan. Hang up.

I have been recieving a couple of calls a day have no idea who it is but its annoying I do ignore now and then delete and I am with optus

Yes i have had 5 calls in the past week or 2, I dont need to answer calls from Sydney as im in melbourne,so i assumed it was either optus, google or similar. so they can get stuffed if they dont want to leave a msg. they normally just want to sign u up for some stupid offer to waste more of our time.

Just got a missed call from it and calling back was the same result a "recorded" this number is disconnected. I.e. this isn't the real disconnected message. I haven't been with Optus for about 3 years so can't imagine it would be them calling me. I have no pending debt beyond my mortgage which is up to date so can only assume its spam

Missed Call when I return the call message said this number was disconnected. Makes you wonder how many dodgy phone numbers are out there.

Somebody called me from this number claiming to work for Optus. They told me they wanted to give me free credit since I'd been a customer for so long. They then asked me to confirm some of my personal details, which I refused to do. Seemed like some sort of possible scam. Beware.

For the past 3 days I have been getting calls from this number. I thought it was just me getting them. I'm in NSW and I don't know where the prefix 9762 is from, if it even exists. It's annoying, but I'm not losing any sleep over it.
