Missed the call, but i’m a vigin customer too.

Surprise! Another Virgin Mobile customer. Just received a call from this number. I don't answer unlisted or numbers I don't recognise. Good to know I'm not the only one.Glad I didn't answer. Just to let Paul know. Virgin does use the Optus satelites so we are actually Optus customers virgin is a small co company of Optus. (hence total confusion when you call up about something to do with your account, by person on other end).

I got a call from them also, that I didnt answer and I'm with virgin mobile too. I have also had problems with friends calls either not getting through or dropping out due to no reception supposedly. Think it might be time to find a new phone company.

They called me 4 times in five minutes, each time I replied hoping to get some clue as to who it was. The first time I heard nothing, the second and third what sounded like hold music, and the fourth I just hung up straight away. I can't believe it would be Virgin mobile (who yes, I'm with >.>) because if that's really them then it's just so bloody unprofessional!

I answered this call, was asked who was talking, told it was Virgin doing a survey to see if I was happy with my pre-paid plan (which I have) and to see if they could improve it. I agreed to the survey until they wanted to know my number to confirm it was my account - a bit sus. Hung up.

i got this number calling me today, same thing i rang the number back and it was engaged. yes im with virgin too

I have had 2 missed calls from this number in the past week with no msg left. Reading the above if the number comes up again,I do not intend to answer it as it sounds real suss. Yeah I'm with Virgin

just got a call and i spoke to virgin about it and they say that it is a test to see if we get recception

I am also a Virgin Mobile customer. These people have called me three times but I was too busy to take the call. They didn't leave any messages. Do their telemarketing staff have to make a quota of phone calls or something?

Yet another Virgin owner, my son got two calls but unable to answer as he was at school. Called the number and got busy, tried later and got "Optus regrets the number id disconnected". Virgin/Optus, same network mmmmmmmmm

Likewise a Virgin mobile account and Internet home phone account holder who has since ditched them. Initially OK but oversubscription &/or insufficient bandwith resulted in regular phone dropouts and interminably long webpage load times.

Glad I tried this webpage to identify the caller.

I get the same, When I answered it it was Virgin Mobile looking for a Dave, I have told them there is no Dave at this number but still like once a month they call and ask for him, soooo f*cking annoying!!!

assuming it is virgin they said they would call me back within 48 hours to assist me, I guess I missed the call.

I rang Virgin Mobile and got nowhere... the don't know which way is up...
You can ring and ask for a supervisor on (02) 9028 1914 but they will just deny everything and say it is marketing or telesales or some other crap.
If you have an Android phone just use Mr. Number and block their sorry tired a**...

I am also with virgin and also have had these calls from both numbers (02) 9761 0088 and (02) 9028 1914 and I think it is great that the internet has provided answers.

ah there wqe go thanks guy you have answerd everything i wanted to know got a missed call while i was on my other phone and when i rang back it rejected my call and said not allowed... i am with virgin and it is the worse thing i have eva done but my phone is locked to them and i tryed getting it unlocked and they said my phone needed to be more than 6 years old god can anyone help me out with that lol cheers james

Recently got an Iphone4 from Virgin, friends can't get through to me and I often don't have service in the heart of Sydney, I hope this is Virgin checking to see how I'm going.
