Seems to be a scam or dodgy number

Keep getting calls (4 so far between 02/04 with 2 being today 05/04) from an man with a very strong asian accent (very difficult to understand) though clearly says "I'm not selling anything". To which I reply good cause I'm not interested in talking to you and please stop calling me. My daughter has googled this number for me and lots of comments pretty much saying that it's spam. Tried to call the number back and get a message saying "please check the number you have dialed". I am registered with the Do Not Call Register and have lodged a formal complaint.

Total scam - trying to sell some sort of tax avoidance plan.

Missed the call on my phone but when I looked at missed calls it showed up as being from Aruba even though it displayed as a nsw area code. Added to blocked list. Getting sick and tired of these sorts of calls. Would be great if the government would do something about it.

Country called Aruba Caribbean I think, just told them they had a wrong number and they went away.

These overseas callers are routing phone calls through Australian phone numbers.
ie; a family member or a colleague of theirs who has a routing box to make it look like the phone calls are local. Try and ring them back though - always engaged.

Anyway, the Male (overseas caller) wanted me to confirm the name to the number they had called, which I wouldn't oblige.
Caller then wanted confirmation to my wellness for today, which again I wouldn't oblige.
Caller then hung up.

Just annoying.

How good would it be if we had a govt that would act against such "time waisting" calls. I dont think so.
