Offering to now block international calls as well as those I already have blocked through the Do Not Call Register. He hung up when I asked for his number, and when I called it back anyway it was the message bank of a private number. Obvious scam.

It was laughable and somewhat pathetic for the scammer in this instance to think he had a chance of conning an English speaker in Australia.

Always thoroughly scrutinise incoming calls, and you will have no difficulty identifying idiots such as this one.
