Caller: Someone with Accent trying to pass themselves off as someone from the do not call register

Told me that my membership on the do not call register expired today and was I still getting scam and nuisance calls. Then went on asking me if I paid my telephone bills using direct debit and was wanting to verify my debit card details including expiry date. Told him that I would not discuss any of my financial situation with him and that he was a scammer as the do not call register does not charge membership and there is no expiry date on membership. Although he was polite it definitely was a scam.
