Keep calling but then hangs up, called back and recording says disconnected!

Said she was from Somerton Financial group and wanted to know a lot about finances, property value, loans, occupation, partners name, mobile number ect. Said someone was in my area to come and visit and wanted to know what time. She wouldn't give her number for me to contact her.

She claims to be working for Somerton group.... I gave her my home address.. Is it a problem?

Scam callers, we automatically divert them to our "unwanted caller" answering machine and let them try to scam that. The caller chatted to it for over 10 minutes - scam the scammer!

Called these Indian scamming d*ckheads on (02) 9119 3425... I asked to speak to the owner of the business. Asked for their banking details, credit cards - tax file number... He told me to "Fuk off & stop calling". I said "How about you do the same scumbag"
Told me "Why dont you make me?" (in Apu voice)... I said "Ok, will I come to the address on your website?"
In Apu voice again, he said "We from India fuka whitey!" Hahahaha.... It was the best!!!!!

Called at 6:30pm and asked for my brother. I asked what it was about as he wasn't available. She said "it's about his work." The call sounded like it was from a call centre with a lot of other calls going on in the background. My internal BS alarm went off as it didn't sound like any of his supervisors or roster dept and they always state where they're from first on the rare occasions they do call. So I asked the caller what work he did - "ummm ... in transport". Far too vague for my liking, so I egged her on and asked her what he actually did in Transport - "ummm ... ummm ... drives a truck". WRONG. She then demanded his mobile number! I said if you were his work you'd have his mobile number and asked again where she was calling from. She was very flustered at being caught out and hung up. I rang the number back only to have the "we regret the number you dialled is disconnected" recording. I am soooooo sick of these calls! When are the Telcos going to take responsibly for these scams that completely waste our time???!!!

Asked to speak to my husband, when I asked why, the person said it was about his work. I asked why they needed to speak with him and again the person said it was about his work and if he wasn't available they would try the mobile number. When I said they would again be speaking with me they hung up. My husband is on a pension !!

Hung up as soon as I picked up phone. Going by the comments from others it appears to be another of many nuisance callers.

I have received 2 calls from this number yesterday and 3 today. All asking for personal information regarding tax cuts and trying to organise a time for a consultant to come out to talk to us about saving money and paying our mortgage off in 3 years. I've already said I'm not interested and they keep calling.
I called Telstra and asked them to block the number. They said the number wasn't in their database so it was most likely coming from overseas and they were using a dummy number to make it look like it was coming from Sydney. Telstra have blocked all overseas calls for me so it should stop them being able to call me again.

Second time she has called in a week. First time said was surveying reviewing demographical and geographical locations, Made up a name for her, asked who she works for and she hung up. This time asked for the made up name we gave her...hahaha. DODGY!!

We get this number calling every day. Most times I answer it is engaged. The other times it is a person claiming to be following up info that we have “kindly provided” in the past and is based around income, property value, money. I asked politely to be taken off the list during my most recent call, after over 5 minutes of questions being asked and my not providing any information.

Scammers claiming to be from the Somerton Group, repeatedly call from this number. Female and male scammers will call and ask for personal information about income and working hours. Dodgy!!

I have recently changed my phone number to a private number and DO NOT CALL but they call and when I call back it says it is disconnected.
