Caller: Sandra

Told me she was from the No Call Register, and was definitely foreign as i had some difficulty understanding her speech. She said she understood that we were getting marketing calls, and as of tomorrow she was going to put a call tracking system on our phone and all calls. I told her, no she wasn't and she did not have permission, and if she went ahead it was illegal. I want to speak to a supervisor and I require proof of who they are, and where they are from and what they are doing. She said she would speak to a supervisor and ring me back. The number she gave me where she was from was 1800 875 047 but the caller id said (02) 9498 8191. As we get so many scam calls re the nbn being disconnected, and from overseas re financial things, or accident reporting facility etc etc, you get the drift, major scam artists. I will not be giving permission for anything over the phone, even if they are supposed to be from Telstra, which it says owns the 02 number above. Telstra needs to get their act together and not use foreign people to ring us, on a local number but give us another 1800 number to ring back on. Not acceptable way of doing business at all.

Obviously the scammers must have used some method to to have this number appear in my Caller ID display.
