Definitely Telstra. I was suspicious because this guy talked fast & had a heavy accent. I heard the word Telstra, so got him to repeat, then heard 'this morning...' He asked for my name & DOB to confirm my ID. I said how do I know you are from Telstra, that's why I am on this website! I did call Telstra this morning & the Aussie gent could not reinstate my recharge credit expired by Telstra yesterday, that is supposed to expire 11Feb23, he said he would log a job. Wonder if anyone else has this problem. Telstra discontinued my prepaid mobile plan in Feb & converted it to similar plan, not as good of course, credit to expire in 366 days. Yesterday, got text to say recharge has expired & needed to recharge to continue to use service!! I could not make call or send text, not even to Telstra!! Lucky we still have a landline!

I have had to voicemails left by this number. Accents are so thick and callers mumble so much that I was unable to decipher the message.

Multiple phone calls. Long voicemails with what sounds like a butt dial. Rustling, knocks, etc.

Of this number is Telstra then why don’t they leave a msg instead of just breathing?!! It’s not Telstra. I’ve had Telstra call and they ALWAYS leave a msg then try my landline. I have a very private landline barely anyone but Telstra and family has it so I KNOW this number ISNT Telstra!
I’ve also had ‘Telstra’ supposedly send me sms msgs too and it wasn’t them even though it says it’s from Telstra! Scammers are good and they infiltrate everywhere! Convince me this is Telstra as it’s not, they’d leave a msg not just them breathing for two mins!

Telstra following up technical issues we have been experiencing with our NBN Telstra service.

Why would a Telstra tech be calling on Christmas Day. Can’t be in Australia. Sounded like a scam.

Someone claimed to be from Telstra. They didn't seem like they were telling the truth - their manner was very unprofessional and they didn't seem to know what to do when I answered the phone and I wasn't the person they claimed to be calling for.

I didn't answer too and I check here. Following comments read, I call back - and yes, it was Telstra.
*For me, it was a call back for regarding technical internet issue.
Its a one way number though. You have to return call on their other numbers, or wait for the next call from that number.

I received calls from this number 4 times this week. The accent is not Australian and it's so fast that I could hardly understand it. Sometimes it says something about ?interpreter not working. If it's not a scam, then I don't know what it is

I was on an important call wit a technician because I lost internet connection. One hour 40 minutes!, then the call dropped out, but I didn't know and there was an incoming call with this number, unidentified, so I didn't answer it. I thought I was still connected to the technician. Telstra needs to attach ID to such calls like that so we know its not spam. Geez

I returned a call from (02) 9461 9000 but reached vm for Telstra

The number is Telstra Customer Support, however from the accent I don't believe the operator to be Australian based. They have been following up technical issues I have been experiencing with my Telstra service. They always call at inconvenient times.
