Surveys, "advisors", whatever! These people are just like sales people and once you are on the Register they ALSO should not be able to call you UNLESS you have specifically asked for those calls. Tired of being a "product" for anyone!

Don't agree with 'former call centre worker' as i've been getting these scam calls for the past 2-3 years and they're from every no. from UK, Ireland, NZ, Europe, Australian states, and so on and this no. got on a Sunday. So doubt very much a legit company would call on a Sunday as they'd get 100% F... off. The scammers use VOIP and can pretend to be any phone no. as long as telcos haven't blocked those no.s for use.

Caller: Does it matter with vall centres?

I agree with the call centre ex-employee. What I don't agree with is being on the Do Not Call Register and that call centre either bring unaware of that fact or totally disregarding it.
If so called you at 8pm at night or on a Sunday, would you be polite?
It's difficult with 1/2 dozen call centre calls a day.
Call centre staff get paid to call us, we don't get paid having to field those calls on our home and mobile numbers we never gave you to begin with.
And we wouldn't call you with your private numbers period.

This number has repeatedly called every night for weeks and weeks. Whilst, I appreciate the person on the other end does not deserve the lashing out from the public - they do work for companies that repeatedly harass people and should expect people to be upset at the poor and inappropriate timing of their calls.

You can block the number but they are so totally unable to comprehend that you just may not want to speak to them that they will keep trying and trying and trying. (Yes, dinnertime's a good time to butt in to someone's home. We'd much rather talk to you than sit down for a meal with our family.)
Intruding physically is a crime. It is high time, in my opinion, that this sort of intrusion was made illegal as well.

Didn't catch their name but claimed to be conducting market research. No thanks.

I was very impressed to have someone who didn't even have the courtesy to SPEAK butt into my Friday evening (nearly 8.30pm) at home. They don't give a rap how ill, stressed or tired you are: they'd call you if your baby was taking her last breath in front of you. I'd bet anything you like that they wouldn't give me their personal phone numbers so that I could call them anytime I felt like it. These pests are one reason why so many people are giving up their landline phones. Who do they think they are?
They won't do it again, not from this number, because I've blocked the number along with the countless others. And I do not wish you well, believe me.

Caller: (02) 9304 4370 continually calls

They're a pain in the ass, filling up my answering machine with hangup calls, I can't get my important calls. They continually change numbers, there must be now over a hundred different numbers that they've used, and you know which telco sold all the numbers to them and still owns them too.

Rang at lunchtime on Sunday. My phone identified it as suspected spam. I don't answer random numbers. If it's important, they would leave a message.v

Gained number from public domains (I assume white pages), exempt from dncr restrictions because they don't sell anything. Requested to be removed from data base.

Haven’t had a spammer call me for 6 months. Give my number to JBHiFi two days ago for a receipt and now I mysteriously start to get calls. Stop giving your number out!!!
