Same s**t, ringing me telling me i have viruses etc, went on teamviewer and they shown me that prfetch like you said, when i refused to pay 120 he hung up

This number called me, claiming they was a tech support for 5 major internet providers (bt, virgin, sky etc). They was going on about virus on my computer slowing my internet down, well mine is 20mb and i am happy with it, they wanted me to download teamviewer so they can connect to my computer and show me the c:/windows/prefetch folder and then claimed everything in there was slowing my computer down. After this they went on about a 9 year computer protection program which will cost s a one off fee of £120, tehy started filling me an appilcation form in on there side and started asking me my address. This is the best bit,  they had my name correct but didnt have my address correct and read out an address and postcode, i just told them yes thats right even tho it wasnt, i then told him i aint paying £120 on this crap and he started talking a bit angryily, an then i told him i aint giving NO card details out over the phone at all you are wasting my time and yours then he just hung up.

IS IT A SCAM ,THEY USED VIRGINMEDIA  NAME
