Got a call from this number and they said that i was entitled to a $5000 grant from the Australian Goverment as I was not declared bankrupt and were up to date with all my outstanding monies. All I had to do was go and make a deposit at the Australia Post to a Western Union account and that they would refund me the amount of donation + the $5000 grant from the Australian Government. After googling the phone number found that Huey was also contacted with the same phone number. AUSSIES PLEASE BE AWARE!!!!

This phone number is utilised by phone scammers.  They are posing as Australian Taxation Officers (ATO) stating that people are owed money by the ATO.  They generally know a fair bit about the person they have contacted, Name, DOB, address, email and in some situations even driver licence numbers.  Rest assured this is definitely a scam and no person should entertain these people.
I strongly recommend that no person pass on any of their personal details via websites, emails etc unless you are certain that the recipient, company is genuine.

Just hang up on them!

i got a call saying i was owed 7000 dollars from the tax office (i dont even pay tax??) any way he  assured me that i do pay tax and so i listened he had all my details but he kept messing up a bit ..like with how long i was with a bank and so forth .. then he said i go to the post office and deposit 100 dollars in to this account as soon as he said i have to pay some thing i new that this was a scam... i quickly typed in his number that he gave me and it came up with these messages from *huey* and *consious aussie*.. i hop people will be more wise in the future.. i get calls al the time from indiand claiming t be something.. i gues when thy say ts from australia we like to believe .. so be careful people ..
