Unfortunately these scammers taked my neighbour into buying their 'Advanced System Care' product for $250 and removing his existing antivirus software (I suspect after giving them remote access). An expert has been called in to examine the extent of the damage.

Last night a caller stating they are from Windows and that I had viruses in my computer. Claimed their company was " ourtechstore.com". Said I had a similar call a couple of months ago from secureallpc.com . They pointed out that it was a scam. Even showed me the Google search stating that. Had my computer tied up for hours, Sounds like I've been doubly scammed. Will not accomadate any phone calls with foriegn accents again, how can we trust anyone.

Their website is http://ourtechstore.com When asked for their main business, they reluctantly answered with "tech support" Hung up on me when I asked them for their ABN.

Watch out for this number, they are running a Windows phone scam in Australia. First they tell you that your computer has been affected with virus then they try to con unknowning people into giving them remote access to their computer, I was suss as soon as they wanted me to go into my computer and told them no way.. They sound professional but everytime I told him I was not going to do what he asked until I could verify his details as this maybe a scam to hack my computer, he just laughed... If it was Windows calling I am sure they would understand people are concerned when they get a phone call out of the blue and not laugh at them.. don't give these guys any details and definetly don't let them gain remote access to your computer.

I received two or three unsolicited phone calls from the same outfit during the last month or two. They came on the phone, saying they are from Microsoft Windows, misrepresenting themselves. They use the ruse that they are able to detect that my computer is running slow and or has viruses, which is a lie. This struck me as funny, because I instantly want to know how they say they are able to determine this. Additionally, although I know that windows uses technical support agents located in India, I normally only speak to them if I call Windows requesting technical support . Microsoft Windows would never call me out of the blue via the phone.
The second tip-off that something was funny is that the person on the phone has an East Indian accent, there is a time lag in the line, the person is speaking off of a script and becomes very rude when I ask probing questions. The Web site they directed me to is attached. It lists a U.S. address in Georgia, however this is not real, as the perpetrators are based offshore. There is business at that address in Norcross, Georgia, however guy there appears to be just dupe and the perps are copying his address. The tip-off was when I asked the perps WHERE in Georgia they are located, they could not tell me. Like you don't know your own address and main intersection?? Gimme a break. THIS IS A SCAM !
