said they were from Telstra and I have an internet issue that needs fixing which I said yes I know I have been on the phone 3 times with telstra they then hung up

Caller: Scammer Trying To Steal Bank Details

Claimed to be from the "Security Department Of The Visa And The Mastercard" (hilarious considering they're different companies). Said there was a problem with my recent payment on the card to New Zealand and "please to be asking if I recognize the transaction".

They hung up on me when I said "Gee, New Zealand?! Well no, I don't know anyone there, that does sound concerning!" The call center operator was still talking mid-hangup, so I'm guessing a supervisor who was listening in was the one who cut the call. They're probably right now explaining the concept of "sarcasm" to their thick-as-a-brick phone operator.

Caller: Indian Call Centre

Claims to be from VISA about some random payment I made to someone in NZ

Caller: Claimed to be Commonwealth Bank

Told me there was a fraudulent transaction on my account - funny as I don't have an account with Commonwealth Bank

They phoned my mobile, I didn't recognize the number so let it go to answer phone, but they did not leave a message.

Caller: Supposedly Telstra

Called saying there is an issue with my internet being used by an unknown IP address.
I told them I was at work and couldn't speak to them. Rang the number after he hung up and it is not connected. Bloody scammers ...
