Caller: Claims to be from Salvation Army

Has numerous missed calls over the space of 24hr - out of curiosity I answered today. Claimed to be from the Salvation Army but the massive delay before anyone spoke and the tones of voice didn’t sit well with me. I mean would the SA relentlessly keep calling until they got an answer? Seemed way to suss to me so I have blocked the number

Beware of this unlisted number as it is almost certainly yet another spoofed number being used by cyber criminals. As this number was not recognised it was left to ring out with no message being recorded on completion. Accordingly, the above number has been blocked and reported.

Scam call. Answered and they hung up within 1second

Caller: female not sure she said christian name

Just had this number call around 6pm on a Wednesday. As unknown "land line" I merely answered Hi then Yeh because like the person above there was a delay of no one talking. The 'sad voice' in regard to many calls for assistance after christmas just made the Script sound so suss. asked for a one off taxable deduction for Salvation Army. When I said not now at least she politely thanked me for my time. decided to google the number and yes have decided now to block it based on other comment.

Fishy. Could be a scam.

I have also previously answered this number after ignoring multiple calls. The caller also said they were from The Salvation Army - I told them that repeated calls with no messages left amounted to badgering and were causing additional stress which made it less likely I would donate in future. I was told they would mark my number as Do Not Call (I am already on the email list). Unfortunately, six months later, the calls have started again. I have blocked the number, but have now received an aleret from Telstra that the calls from this blocked number now amount to a Suspicious Calling Pattern. That is how often they are continuing to call, despite the number being blocked. I will be rwriting to the main office and asking that all communication cease - there are other charities I can support.

We did a 10 minute survey. Asked me if I would be okay to have a follow up call to do another survey.

Let it ring out as I didnt recognize the number. No message left. Appears to be a scam. Thanks those other contributors.

Have received multiple calls over the last week from this number. Each time I have answered and the caller hung up almost immediately. When I called the number back today (Saturday), a recorded message identified the caller as Apple Marketing on behalf of charities and advised that their office hours were from Monday to Friday. I have blocked this number.

Same number called me today and did not leave a message. now blocked.

I'm supporting the Anonymous post 8 January 2025. Didn't know the number, left it to ring out. Both my devices have voicemail. No messages left. I've blocked the number.

Telcos still letting these scam calls through its 2025 ffs
