A lady with Indian accent called me from this number... didn't quite catch the name of the "company", saying she wanted to offer me a better electricity deal.
Not sure how legit it was so I just told her I didn't have any electricity contract under my name and wasn't interested

Caller: Not sure

Bad line - Told me that they were the ones who helped me connect my electricity when I moved into my current place. I said that's not right because I did it myself. Sounded scammy but she also had all of my details so that's interesting... Either way, told her I wasn't interested and hung up.

An automated voice message saying I am doing illegal activity in Australia and I should talk to a home affairs agent. was on hold for 5 minutes and then a person picked up the call which seemed from overseas. He told me that he is from ATO and I should share my name and details to help me out. I hung up at this point. be aware of this number!

Caller: No idea, nothing when I ring back

Some form of scam, tried blocking the number on my mobile but they still get through.😠
Also phone our landline.
Obviously a scam of some kind, have been getting calls twice a day for a week.

Caller: Some Indian lady

She called me and said “is this madi” she knew my name.

This number has called a few times and when I called back same response as others however tonight they left a message but it was just silent.

Indian with some telemarketing bs about comparing something

Has called me two times over the past week. Once answered and they said they were in charge of my electricity, however my partner deals with our electricity so I said they should call him. Did not say his name however and then they hung up. Just tried to call again and I ignore it, no message but I tried to call back and got an American accent saying not connected. Definitely a scam!

Caller: Some girl with an indian accent.

She said something about gas, through a horrible quality microphone. When I said ''what, can you repeat? You're cutting off'' she disconnected.

Just received a missed call from this same number. Answered the call and I couldn't hear anything. Tried calling back and it said extension unavailable please leave a message. Pathetic.

I received the same call. She said 'Australia is updating their electricity plan, so your plan needs to be updated.' I thought, okay... <scam alert>. I ask if she was with Ergon energy, she says 'yes I am.' Then I said, well I'm with AGL, she says, 'yes I am with them as well.' I just hang up, she didn't call back.

Called me multiple times across 2 weeks I reckon. Never picked up and they never left a voice mail of any sort

This number called my daughter last week and tried to change her details for a gas supplier to which she said no. They did something as her current supplier just sent a last bill for her and we have spent the day trying to sort it all out. Beware peoples

Dont know getting calls from this number atleast once a week they never leave a message.

Android phone flagged it as spam call so I just dumped the line. Called it back for the sake of curiosity and I got an American accent saying the person on that extension was on another call. Sounds a bit like the feedback on (02) 9171 7924. So probably Pete calling from Bombay again. I had the same number last week. Added it to blocked senders list to prevent further calls. Bye Pete.
