Caller: Said it was GoDaddy but wasnt

I have dealing with GoDaddy and this call was not from them!!
Answer to GoDaddy, but with speaking delays recognised it as voice scamming where they take a scan of your voice.
Most times scammers piggyback on other numbers, so a legit number can show on your phone.
Spoke to GoDaddy and have now reported this caller to Authorities.
If you dont recognise a number, dont answer.

It’s a legitimate call from GoDaddy website hosting.

I had a missed call from this number and no message left. Looked up the number on google before calling it back but came across these comments. I also just signed up to GoDaddy a few days ago. After reading the comments I decided not to call back

Rang my phone but didn’t leave a message when I didn’t answer. Noting the previous comments on here I just thought I’d point out that I purchased domain hosting with GoDaddy 5 days ago. Maybe these scammers are intercepting emails or have some sophisticated malware that gets people’s phone numbers. Either that or it’s a weird coincidence

rang once, when I answered, it seems to direct call and dialling an agent. I hung up

They hung up, then it rings while on the line. I put the phone down after that

Caller: 'GoDaddy'

Called saying they were from GoDaddy - I said i look after the account for the person they named. They hung up immediately. Called back and the 'on hold' messages they played back sounds fake as it's asking for the last few digits of your CC number before getting an 'account representative' so they can confirm your account.
