Called Alinta Energy on their number and confirmed this was not them. SCAM

Called me more than twice without leaving a voice message. suspected scammer's calling, I did not pick up. Very suspicious call from NSW and I live in Perth

Called 3 times today with no message left. Comes up as suspected spam on my phone. I refuse to answer any calls that are suspicious

This number rang several times in one day. No voicemail left at any time. I don’t answer unknown numbers and I never call back, especially if there’s no voicemail, I’m not expecting a call back OR it’s from random interstate numbers one after another (this one is NSW & I’m in WA - like most of the other people in this comments section!? 🤷🏻‍♀️)
Probably a scam and / or spam anyway.
They’re ramping things up now - especially being close to Christmas.. 😒 Be aware and be careful. Never ever give out your details to a random number caller.

Missed call from (02) 9168 5120, and received a Voice to Text message "Call us".
Called at 1:30am from work and got a legit sounding recording from "Alinta Energy" (when you would normally get an out of office hours voice message) and they asked me to enter my mobile number. I just kept hitting # and then the voice suggested that because it still wasnt working that "there must be an issue with the phones in the area, thank you and goodbye".
An obvious SCAM. Report and block this number.

Called me today I didn’t answer and no
Message left. Seems suspicious to receive a call from NSW when I live in WA.

Received 3 calls on the same day from this number, I don't answer unknown numbers. Received also a txt msg from another number 10 minutes after the last call, claiming that I have an unpaid account, which I don't.
Phoned Alinta who confirmed that they have not contacted me at any time on this number.

Caller: claim to be Alinta

claims to be alinta saying need to talk in regards to a overdue bill, they ask to confirm your identity by you giving them personal info like D.O.B I called the real Alinta back they said it wasn't them. SCAM never give out personal details to a "received" call as numbers can be spoofed
