Apparently from looking at another comment on this site, I received a call from Bush Heritage Australia. I didn't answer as I didn't recognize this no. They "listened" on my voicemail, and wasted time on it, by hanging on and not saying a word.

Very frustrating.

We've just suffered a family loss and are in a world of pain. This just adds to my difficulty coping, having random calls from strange people and organizations.

Caller: Bush Heritage

According to others the phone number is linked to Bush Heritage. They didn’t leave a message but I have received text messages, emails and letters from this organisation.

Caller: Cornucopia

I received calls over a couple of day from this number and they would hang up when I answered. I called back and it was a voicemail from Cornucopia which is a fundraising organisation calling on behalf of Bush Heritage Australia.

Using fundraising companies such as this is common practice for NGOs (I also work for an NGO and we use one) so I called up Bush Heritage Australia and let them know that this is what the fundraising company they've hired is doing. They were unimpressed.

Leaves a voicemail and goes blank and at the end makes a yelping noise then it hangs up

I called the number back, got an answering machine that said they were Bush Heritage Australia. They said I had shown interest, however I don’t recall this at all, so I’m not sure how they got my phone number.
