Caller: Was given this number to call My laptop froze with a pop us saying it was due to some unusual activity and Windows had shut down the machine. It said to call this number for help to unfreeze the laptop. I called and it was put on hold - sounded like a US accent - no answer - said to leave your number and then press the "pound" key. I left no message and restarted my lap top - all ok. Sounds like a scan to get control of ones laptop.

Caller: Female switch, then to Victor, then Joseph, from Geeks-2-you?? Ditto to Robert King & David above... I couldn't understand it... run Kaspersky Premium, I've never had an issue in 10+ years. Until now... How did they get to me to lock me up. I couldn't do anything... in future... I will just shut down... it is definitely a scam. I called them back and they reluctantly said they were Geeks2you... but who would know. Don't think they got anything from my system... doing scans now... I cut them off. Will report to ACCC Scamwatch.

Clicked on link for ghost ship on EDGE and immediately "Microsoft windows"?????? locked computer and advised to not to shutdown computer otherwise all content would be lost and to ring this number to scan computer. WHY DOESNT SOMEONE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SCAM???????
