Have called my phone number twice asking for my husband - said sorry he is not home and hang up on them. They are such a pain

trying to sell tickets for fire fighters....... dont get sucked in with this lot

I've got over 20 calls from this number in the past 5 weeks. Whenever I have picked up, the caller disconnects. Either a scam or a prankster up to no good

I got a few calls in the last few weeks from this number. I've now blocked it.

Has anyone else found that it has been relatively 'peaceful' during lock down? This was the first unwanted call in a least 10 days. Always sorry to block this one but do donate privately.

Caller: RFS NSW

claiming to be from NSW RFS, asking for a previous owner of our phone number, but looks to be a call centre pretending to be from Rural Fire Service. They rang regularly using a different number each afternoon, earlier this year, same pattern with this number.

April 22, 2020 - I too am receiving these calls regularly, usually around 1730. The same thing, I say hello. No answer. They hang up after about 5 seconds. Sometimes I don't answer but they leave no message.

Caller hung up immediately call answered or within 3 to 4 seconds after answering the call. I do not even technically 'answer'.

This number called, didn't leave a message so blocking it. Probably RFS raffles.

I missed 2 of these calls recently so I don't know who it was, but I have been repeatedly called by rfs for raffles in the past. Even after asking them to take my number of their list, they continue to call.

The NSW RFS does use call centres to cold call for NSW RFS raffle tickets, etc.

I answered ‘hello’ ... silence. I said nothing more. The line went dead after about 5 secs.

Maybe an RFS appeal call

Call regularly - don't answer.
