told me it was the federal police who had been informed by the taxation office and there was a warrant for my arrest on the way and i was to ring the above number. I rang the taxation office to report the scam.

A recorded message from this number saying from the Australian Taxation Office, that I have to ring them back because a warrant of arrest is on it's way for a case against me...stupid!

It appears I owe the taxation department money and there is a warrant for my arrest if I don't pay
