The scammers are using "Not in service" numbers. Telstra should prevent (block) these numbers from being hacked by scammers. Surely in this day and age they would have that capability as they certainly frustrate legitimate Telstra clients enough.

Scammers taking over an unused number. Telstra comes up with "The number is not in service". Telstra is at fault here as they should have in place a system which prevents (blocks) scammers from using these numbers.

These people are scammers NOT Global Shop Direct! I received a call 21/12/17 at 1pm and it rang two times and hung up. So I rang it back. The usual recording of the guy from Global Shop Direct greeted me and then an Indian lady (in a noisy call centre) said Hello, youve reached Global Shop Direct, Amy speaking, whats the reason for your call today? Then she kept saying Hello hello, I cannot hear you, Im ending this call. I thought that was odd, so I rang back a second and eventually a third time and heard exactly the same RECORDING, I realized it was her message bank and it was recorded in such a manner to make it look like the connection was bad and she simply ended the call. In otherwords they had no intention of answering my call. They are not telemarketers because we are on the do not call register and they are continuing to call. From what Ive seen in the comments they are pretending to be different businesses for eg insurance and global shop direct. Either way they are after your personal details and your money. Ive told the Hubby to answer their call and string them along and have some fun with them, so they are losing precious minutes to try and scam someone else ;)

Foreign lady asked for my partner, by name, and I said I'd see if they were available. She said not to worry and she'd try calling back another time!

Fake insurance call telling me 'we are calling about your car accident' - what car accident I ask? Then not being able to provide me with further information - what company and what the end game of the call is - can tell it is an overseas caller as the accent is not English as a first language. Annoying repetitive call.

I am getting up to two calls a day. We let our answering machine handle the call, but there is never any answer from them on the message machine. This has been going on for a few months.

Made one purchase months ago, now they are obviously wanting me to part with more money. They rang 4 times not allowing enough time to answer (once, no ring, just phone lit up). Now they are ringing frequently and I refuse to answer. Have asked on website, to be removed from their contact list.
