Answered as I was expecting a call from a very similar number, but just got silence, and a hang up after 6 seconds.

Caller: NBN Scammer The robocaller said that the NBN would be disconnected and that I should press 1 to talk to someone about it or press 2 to have it disconnected.
I did not press a button in time so it disconnected.
There are 2 probabilities for this scam. 1) They try to get you to download some remote access software (they usually try for anydesk or teamviewer). They then use this to take control of your computer. They leave spyware, ransomware, virii etc. on your computer and/or try to steal all of your identification details so you become a victim of identity theft
2) They say that the only way to stop the disconnection is to go to a very special website and then fill out a form that suspiciously requires you to enter all your identifying details and password to stop the disconnection. If you ask why they cannot do this over the phone they will say that they cannot due to client privacy. This is the same excuse thy will give if you ask them to provide you with you full name, first name, initials, or the first (second... last) letter of your first name, address D.O.B. or even your initials.
The only thing that is not private that they will give you is your phone number. This is because they only have this detail (after all they called you on it).
Do not download any software. Do not allow them to access your computer. Do not go to the website they suggest. If you are like me, then you can try to keep them on the phone as long as possible to waste their time.

Maybe I shouldn't have answered this. Maybe I shouldn't have hung up in their face. Now I don't know who it was. When are the authorities going to fix scam and dodgy calls? How long will it take?
