Silence for 3-4 seconds, then a female automated voice “goodbye” and they hung up. Tried calling back twice but no dial tone.

This is a scammer call. She pretended to be from Telstra

Pretending to be Amazon caller.

Calls almost weekly and leaves no message. I don't know anyone in Sydney! Clearly scammers trying to get me to answer.

Caller: A woman in a call centre who claimed to be from Optus

Caller claimed to be from Optus offering a 40% discount for 6 months due to being a good customer. They had my old email (which would have been leaked by Optus back in 2022) and asked me to give my date of birth which I did not. They claimed they were going to send me an email to confirm it was Optus (and not a scam as I indicated to them) but the email never arrived. Wayyyyy too good to be true. Optus has never worked that hard to keep me.

Auto dial number. Claimed to be from Telstra and calling about my internet. Phone then disconnected. I'm not a customer. scammer!

Caller: Amazon Security

A man claimed to be from Amazon Security.
When i said i didn't buy anything he hung up. Pest

The moment you answer the call, the contact is terminated. Did not call number back and this is now blocked.

Frequently getting missed calls from numbers in this sequence. No one on the phone, no message left and unable to return to call to verify origin.

Called where I work. Indian type accent with the name of Patricia. Claimed to be telstra and wanted to talk about internet issues I'm having and solutions for it. Told them I don't use telstra and hung up

Caller: Supposedly Amazon

Silence for a few seconds then she said she was calling about an order I'd made through Amazon. When I told her she was a scammer she became quite rude and hung up.

Has called me a number of times. Nobody says anything, and they hang up after a few seconds

No one speaks up for the first 6-8 seconds, then I hung up. Must be scam.

Big Time Scammers

Caller: Claimed to be from Telstra

Told me I had an internet problem and asked about my Internet speeds. I told them I was not with Telstra and then they told me they noticed I had a problem which was why they called. Then they asked me my internet speeds at which point I politely terminated the call.

The caller was a live person with a heavy accent and there was much background noise like a call centre
