Caller: Automated female voice

Answered the phone to an automated female voice which started the conversation "Dear Customer" which made me suspicious as my name was not used. Then it went on to say that the call was from Visa/Mastercard so I then knew it was a SCAM call & hung up.
SCAMMER, SCAMMER!!!!

Visa/Mastercard scam! Recorded message, Stated that they were from Visa/Mastercard in a really good everyday Australian accent. Dear Customer, (did not even use my name) and that I owed $1200 on my credit card - hung up, straight away.

I agree with previous comments. Don't know how they obtained my number as it was recently changed because of scammers like this.

Automated voice notifying my Visa or Master Card has been used for $xxxx.00 sum purchase, push one to cancel this payment, push 2 to allow this payment.

No mention of what bank I am with or my name or exactly what type of credit card I have... definitely phishing scam. Don't answer

Scammer. "Telstra IT support" wanted me to enable 'Anti-hacker software' on my computer. As soon as I started asking questions they hung up on me.

Really awkward because I actually had a wifi connection issue at that exact moment while staying at Meriton Suites in Sydney. I had called reception from my rooms landline who said they'd check with the ISP to see about getting the wifi fixed and minutes later I had this scammer call. Related?

I think they said they were doing a power bill check or something. Told them I had Solar and I’m a pensioner so no pay bills.

They are still at it. One click on the iPhone power button sends it to message bank & no message left. Now blocked. I assume that if it goes to mb then they would be charge for the call 😀
