After I answered it took a long moment to connect and for the person calling to reply to my hello. Called me by my last name (my first name is a very common female first name in Australia) and it was incorrect pronunciation not even close, I didn't wait to hear the spiel I hung up immediately.

Caller: Commonwealth Bank Indian accent claimed to be from CBA and wanted me to check if an unauthorized transaction had occurred. I played along (I’m not with CBA) and faked alarm. They told me I could download an app to secure the online banking app on my phone. Definitely a scammer.

Caller took a couple of seconds to come on the line - definitely Indian male. Claimed to be calling as they have noticed suspicious activity coming from my NBN. Didn't want to listen to a question and clearly was reading from a script. Hung up and blocked...
