Suspected Spam - phone blocked call

Caller: Jenny (doubt it was her real name)

Scam.... fraudulently claiming to be from the Technical Department at Telstra regarding a problem with our internet. I knew this was a scam as we use another service provider for our internet and immediately hung up!

The caller didn’t speak when I answered the phone however I could other people talking & phones ringing in the background so I hung up.. Getting sick of these calls..

Claimed to be from the Commonwealth Bank but the usual long delay before they start talking, and the usual foreign accent reading from a script.

Definitely a scam call typical Indian accent complaining his mother was was doing dirty things with animals.

never leaves a message.
Did answer once obvious call centre unable to understand accent

Caller: Indian

He said Victorian Energy offering free nbn upgrades. He seemed to know that I had led lights and phones etc. He also said he knew that I got $250 energy rebate. Be careful. I hung up and blocked him

Scam, Indian accent saying some kind of "Visa and Mastercard" which I could not understand.

Caller: Very aggressive moron with a heavy accent.

Call from a "security department" for Mastercard...I don't have a Mastercard

There had apparently been a transaction on my card in America.

I played along....I said how can I fix this...they asked how I normally purchase things online...computer or phone...told them both, then he wanted to know what type of phone I had...told me to go to where I normally download apps and to download zoho assist customer (this is a screen sharing app) I then told him should I let my father know of this as he is a federal police office...he said yes...but for some reason the call dropped out.

Absolute scum these people...whilst I know a scum when I see/hear it...there are others that are too trusting and may give them the access they want...ALL LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT AND ALL PARTIES NEED TO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!

This number called my work phone twice and either didn't leave a message or hung up when I identified myself. Suspected it was a scam call and it was confirmed on this website.

Didn’t recognise the number that was in Sydney. They didn’t leave a message so I called the number back. When I called (which was immediate) I got a recorded message say8ng this number was not connected.

Number blocked after that.

Scam called. he said that i made a purchase from Chile and need to authorize it with my same card. As soon as i asked where he was from : India? He put the call down. SCAM

Caller: A wannabe scammer

Call from a "security department" for Visa and Mastercard.
Alleging that there had been two international transactions for $400 and $378 on my card.
I asked them to confirm those amounts, faking concern and worry, when I did that, I logged into my account (I really do love playing with these peoples heads and acting all concerned) I stated, that's really interesting, because my everyday account, which has a mastercard, doesn't have those funds available, because I have my savings in a different account.. And then "nice try moron..."
They promptly told me to get f***** hung up

Sadly there will be a number of vulnerable or very trusting people who do believe these awful critters. I find that heart breaking that these are the people that trust them.

Caller: They said they were Telstra, but they weren't

Woman said l had a problem with my internet connection/IP address. l use a hotspot. Called her out immediately and she hung up straight away.

Indian call centre claiming to be from NBN. I played along believing it to be a scam but concerning he had my name, address and e mail. Probably not hard to find once you have a phone number.
They claimed another IP address was logged into my computer from California.
I hung up. Just be careful people
