Caller: Claim to be eBay - it is a scam

I have a random call from this number and a mechanical voice came on saying I had been charged a sum ($299 or something). It then said to press 1 if I wanted to dispute it, 2 if I wanted customer service, or something along these lines. I hung up and called the number back. The call was answered very gruffly and I asked where they were calling from - ebay. I attempted to ask why they had called, and the man insisted I give my name and other details so he could "look at my acc*nt". I said no, I just received a call from this number and wanted to know why a mechanical voice would have come on - he replied "if you dont tell me your name then you can go away and get stuffed then, hey?"to which I said they were clearly not ebay because they would not respond to me in that way. He hung up.
I called back and a lady answered this time. I asked her why a mechanical voice would come on, and she said because they were trying to contact me about a $299 debt. I said how would she know if I owed anything as I did not give my details. I do not even have an ebay account. There was a pause and I asked "You're not ebay, are you? Please tel me if I am wrong?" She hung up.

Long story short, this is a scam. Give no identifying details and block the number.

This appeared to be a scam. They left a voicemail saying I was being charged and to press numbers for options about payment.
