Wish there is a way to have these calls backfire on the caller!

got a call asking if I received a letter regarding a government rebate.
But I am just wondering how did they get my mobile number?
SCAM...

After I answered 'hello this is Amy' I got delightful bogan-sounding whispering 'hello...Amy...yea...' and then he hung up (and I could hear normal voices in the background, so it wasn't simply a bad connection). WTF is the point of this - absolute idiots.

Tried to reverse charge call!
These people are tiring and dishonest. When will the Government stamp out these unrelenting calls!!!

Same as the other comments, mentioned a letter - when told them we weren't interested he got narky and said 'so you don't want to save money' - we hung up!!

Tom said that he's calling from Smart Australia and asked for the letter they sent to our home address? to home owner - when i said that I'm not a home owner he hang up.

Knew my name. Asked is this (my name) after I said 'yes' which is hard not to they hung up.

Dumbest scam going. Will talk about a letter they sent about energy investment to your address, but didn't actually know my address. Idiots. Will get aggressive when you tell them you're not interested - have had the same company call before talking about solar.

They rang and he asked me if I had received a letter and read through it about solar panels for people who can't afford them. I told him I rented and then he kept talking and I hung up. Just wanted to get my address.

always calls me! if you answer no one is there. I have now blocked this number now, just plain rude! don't they have anything else to do?

Calling to say my letter with new offer got lost in mail and could i repeat my address to send out a new one. Hung up when i said i was a renter not home owner.

Don't know who called...But they have called before. Went to connected call ringtone.. I believe they are reverse charging. Be careful
