Standard "reduce your energy bills" scam call.

Caller: Indian call centre

An Indian dude called me [a woman] asking for Mr [MY SURNAME]. When I said I was Ms [MY SURNAME], he promptly hung up. I guess perhaps he only wanted to scam the man of the house haha...

Male caller called me at dinner time 7.30 p.m. with a thick indian accent saying he was from a Solar company to which I immediately told him I wasn't interested. And he said Why? I didn't respond and he said because I know that you have a very high energy bill! I asked him how he would know that, and he said because I can see that you have a very large house! I just hung up at that point!

Not sure if the caller was a SCAM but I am sure he must have been because he was very rude and he was certainly very annoying!

Male caller with Indian accent wanted to talk to me about solar panels. Asked intrusive personal questions that were none of his business. I have received many calls from this number regarding the same thing. They don't take 'I'm not interested" for an answer and keep calling back.

Had 4 calls from this number, they hang up when you pick up the phone

I'd say either that's a scam or they're 'spoofing' that number.

Mine wanted to talk about government down light scheme, hence the LED lighting specialist thing could be a good 'front'

Caller: Solar panel

Scam caller trying to speak to a home owner who passed away years ago. Said “do you know who I am” “I will come to your house and kill you tomorrow”
So we’re waiting to see the result

If you get this call, report to Police or the Australian Do Not Call register right away for investigation. I would hate to think someone vulnerable might be taken advantage of by this creep.

Male with strong Indian accent called in middle of the day. Called despite me being on Do Not Call Register. Number that called when googled goes to a lighting specialist store in Marrickville. Reported to Do Not Call Register for further investigation, I suggested to them it may be a scammer hacking a legitimate business's number.
