I just had one of these calls, it was a computer generated male voice, and hang up after the message was given. I am sitting here now waiting to be arrested......

Caller: A man , saying , that I am in trouble with my tax ,

This man phoned every Day , he a low life scammer , will not STOP !!! And when you phone him back , the line has been Disconnected by tells disconnected by Telsta , but he still phones the next day ? Come on Telstra , take his name off !!!!!😡

Caller: Scammer claimed from ATO

There was a recorded message saying there was a problem with my tax return. It advised me to press 1 to speak to an operator, which I did.

The scammer threatened me with arrest and hung up. The ATO advises looking up one of their publicly listed numbers and reporting scammers to them.

I called the ATO who informed me the scammers try to get people to pay them money to avoid their threats. ATO agents will always clearly identify themselves and give an option to call them back on a publicly listed number.
