I missed a call from this number but the caller left a message. It was from Doctors Without Borders, who I recently started donating to; they were thanking me for the donations. I'd say that this is some kind of outsourced (whether locally or internationally) group of teleconsultants that companies with the inclination to can hire out - whether to thank people who have signed up for charities, to try and sell products and services, etc. (I do have to say, a lot of people are telling us that their calls from this number were about life insurance, that sounds so dodgy...)

Just received a call on my silent number foreign male said 'Allo 'Allo and hung up.  How did they get my number?

Saw the call, googled the number as it rung, found this.. decided not to answer. Thank you all very much for saving me from yet another phone call with corporate intent.

i get these calls all the time too. Probably 3 to 4 times a week. I don't answer them coz I don't know if I'll be charged for this call somehow. They never, ever leave a message, but the are a real pain in the proverbial coz they always call at the most innopportune times, like when I'm at work or at tea time.
