This number is from Westpac/St. George. They contacted me to say my credit card was over the limit.

I checked this number with my bank, and they confirmed that this number is not from any bank; they are scammers. Do not give them your details. If they ring you, report them to ACORN and Scam Watch Australia. It is a physhing scam designed to get your personal details for identity fraud. Got a call today from them saying they were from "the bank" - didn't say which bank - when I confronted them on the matter, and said I didn't believe them, they got very agressive with me.

Got a call today saying it was St George bank, knew my full name and checked my date of birth which was incorrect. They said I should go to my branch and have it checked then they hung up.

they have rung 2 or 3 times a day for several weeks and never leave a message. I have asked Telstra to block the calls, but that does not seem to work. And they never leave a message. Very annoying!

Same... they called me saying they're from St George, verified my dob (they gave it correctly, didn't ask me), told me about overdue CC payment and amount (correct).

FAKES. They call me countless times without leaving message whatsoever. I've seen people say they're fake so when I tried to call them myself soon after getting a call from them, their line cuts off? I believe their scammers too.
