kept saying they were calling in regard to my "current electricity bill" but refused to say which company they were calling from. they also knew my first name. when i said that if they would not say which company they were from this was a scam, the girl said "don't talk sh*t" and hung up. sounded as if call was from a busy asian call centre.

Took 5 seconds to talk so scammer from over seas , talked about electricity provider , told her bs I don’t have a electric acc called her a scam artist ,she said you should know succer and hung up

Caller: Call Centre Delayed answer and noisy call centre. Female with Indian type accent “calling regarding your electricity account” and I hung up. I don’t have an electricity account in my name or linked to my phone number.

Caller: BS ARTIST ... CONTINUED Female caller (foreign accent, maybe Indian) didn't actually say she was calling from MY energy provider ... However it was IMPLIED by clever wordage. She said she was calling about my Elec Account & because I ALWAYS PAID on time, I was going to be offered a discount rate. She never said my name either.
NATURALLY I assumed initially she was calling from MY energy provider ... Because she knew I ALWAYS PAID my bill on time.
Deceptive (clever) wordage meant to deceive from word one.
Under handed tactics should not be accepted or encouraged.
IF They cannot take the direct approach ... Say They represent XXX FIRM & can save me money ...then I don't want to know them. This approach used is unethical & should be stopped!

Caller: BS Artist who uses unethical tactics Alleged she was calling from MY electricity provider. No electricity company name given. Alleged that because I always paid my bills on time that she was going to give me an extra discount. MY ENERGY PROVIDER would not make such a call.
Obviously phishing expedition to get info & get me to swap providers.
Told her to send me an email. My Elec Provider has my email address.
Said she would send email but still tried to get me to hear her speel re FAB rates being offered.
Cut her short, again said send email & told her I had to go & hung up.
Deceptive tactics are never welcome.

Caller: No one spoke on the other line I answered hello with my name, no one spoke and then it was silent so didn't say anything. I head a beep and then a lady said goodbye. Felt like someone was calling to record my voice!
